Description

Own a remarkable piece of Soviet-era history with this exceptional 1966 Ukrainian propaganda poster celebrating Kiev's Hero City status. This original vintage artwork captures a pivotal moment in Eastern European commemorative art, making it an outstanding addition to any serious collector's portfolio.

Created by artist A. Lane under editor A. Kozhukhov, this rare propaganda poster was printed in a limited run of 25,000 copies to honour Kiev's designation as a Hero City on 8th May 1966. The compelling imagery features a Red Army soldier adorned with the Soviet star, symbolising the city's extraordinary resistance during the Great Patriotic War. Such historical memorabilia from the 1960s represents increasingly scarce collectible opportunities.

This investment-grade original measures an impressive 25¼ x 42½ inches, professionally preserved from its original folded state and now expertly rolled for optimal conservation. The poster's vibrant colours and distinctive Soviet-era typography remain remarkably intact, testament to the quality printing techniques of the period.

Expert framing elevates this piece to museum standard, featuring UV 97% protection art glass that eliminates reflection whilst preserving the artwork's authentic character. The carefully selected vintage-style wooden frame complements the poster's 1960s aesthetic, whilst float-mounting ensures the original never contacts the glass, guaranteeing long-term preservation.

This rare Ukrainian propaganda poster represents exceptional value for collectors of Soviet memorabilia, Eastern European art, or 20th-century political artwork. Its historical significance, combined with Kiev's current global prominence, enhances its collectible appeal and potential investment value.

A truly distinctive piece that transforms any space whilst preserving an important chapter of European history.
